This guy was on the wall in my kitchen. He is a European Cockroach, sometimes known in Australia as a German Cockroach.

I like the idea of the bug on the yellow wall. But the minimalism isn't really working on this one for me. I think a closer view would help.

too small to scare or even interest me!maybe improved by placing bug on Rule of thirds line intersection, not centrally on left third vertical

Very minimalistic. I think the yellow background suits your title and vice versa because it makes me think of a sunny southern location. Sadly there isn't much detail in the cockroach.
