Challenge: Night Shot IV (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
Location: Westminster, London
Date: Apr 8, 2007
Aperture: 8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 6
Galleries: Cityscape, Political
Date Uploaded: Apr 9, 2007

My first submission to DPC. Took quite a few photos round London but most of them looked overexposed, silly me trusting the camera to set the shutter speed. Anyway a photo of my favourite building.

Cropped, USM, desaturated, resized, border.

This is a nice shot, but the slanted perspective along the edges really takes away from it, and is so pronounced that I can't overlook it.

I like the photo, but the distortion is distracting.

The leaning tower bothers me, other than that it is a nice capture.

I think this one was taken in a too wide angle. And you forget some nasty flare too but not bad.

The perspective distortion is a bit much though, and I'd prefer to see less black sky, and more foreground. Other than that, it's nice postcard image.
