 Spent the better part of today at the base of this telephone pole waiting for the occupants - a pair of Osprey - to come home. They buzzed the nest a few times, but never landed. I guess I have some homework to do re photographing these birds.

wow .. i saw your previous photo first ... so i'm thinking your capture of the bird coming towards the nest is pretty amazing ... i can imagine you're zoom would'v been quite a lot ... so the clarity of the image is excellent .. when i zoom to 200mm it gets so grainy and loses so much quality ...
i really like this image too ... with the nest perched right on top of the telegraph pole and that bird sitting on the wire ..
