The tree is a cute touch. That looks like about a 30 ft boat, and it seems to be sitting very low in the water. I like the haze behind it. It seems to be foggy or a misting rain coming from the other side of the river. I feel that it all looks just about right for a winter's day on the water. It sure looks cold there.
id lose that thing in the water, saturate the red outfit a bit more, add more sky and go vertical. oh, and there is 2 spots in the sky id fix too (like water drops).
Agreeing with UrfaTheGreat it is a nice, clean shot, but I would've liked to have seen the boat a little less centered. I too think you could make this quite artsy but that's really a personal preference thing....
ooh. nice and clear shot.. I like the whole composition of it from the photojournalistic pov but.. if you want to go more artsy then cropping the pic and going overexposed might be the look to try for..
