For everybody who commented on our "carpet": it's a towel and it's supposed to be grass. I guess I didn't get that across at all :-) But don't worry about our floor. We use carpet, not towels for that...
Second: I didn't knock the little guy over once. Timing was quite easy. I used front curtain sync for the flash and then I pulled the car backwards during the rest of the exposure.
This is sooo silly and yet I keep coming back to it. I am not sure about the dark background but it does provide good contrast for the bright car. Your carpet is scary ;) 7, Kavey
This shot was – I think - a lot harder to get than it looks. The car is moving; the shutter has to fire at exactly the right moment and at the right speed to get the effect of speed and movement. I may be wrong, but I think it was done using fairly low light and a slow shutter speed. Whatever you did, I like the effect, and however you did it, it worked, and it worked well. Great shot, great idea… (10)
Really cool. I love the motion in this. Definately depict how children aren't always very nice with their toys. I just have to wonder how many times you hit that poor guy on the horse before you got the right picture. lol. Looks like it's going really fast, but would have to be a really powerful car to go that fast on carpet. Great job and good luck in the challenge.
Very cool -- well thought out! I would have liked a teeny bit more light on the horse and the jousting dude, but otherwise, this is a really slick shot.
