Well, not standing anymore, the owners did a controlled burn and this house is now gone...as of May 29th 2007 there is nothing but a burnt spot where it once stood...A moment of silence please...lol!! I really do hate to see this place go...oh well.

this is just great, the building slant, the 75% split on the sky, for me the sky is just a touch blown but really good effort. and a 6+ score again, nice one
Jackal, you did it! Congrats!!! I was one of your 8's - really like this shot a lot - and I voted last night! The effect of this house is excellent - believe we've seen it once before in straight from camera challenge?
There is irony in this image. Obviously the house is still but it suggests motion by its slant which mimicks the tree. Together they seem to be like the blown back hair shots one gets from people in a convertable. The linear horizon and clouds add a sense of direction making this a strong image.
