This was taken at Hamilton's Pool about 15 miles West of Austin. At first, I was a little aggravated that someone came and sat in the waterfall while I was taking pictures, but when I downloaded them, I thought it added to the photo by giving that sense of scale and perspective.
I put my tone mapping software to the test with this one because there are alot of darks and lights between the cave, the water, the trees and the sky. I used one image and processed it twice, once for the sky and trees, and one for the dark places in the cave. Then tone mapped them and voila. I love how it turned out. Kind of exotic and tropical :) Oh, and the guy really did have a swim suit on, even tho I personally think that the fact that he looks like he doesn't also adds to the picture :)

I didn't see where I'd commented on this one before, but I may have overlooked it. This is truly a masterpiece... The colors, focus, and cohesiveness of this image are truly outstanding. The manner in which you managed to convey the scale is amazing. It's the obvious scale that makes this image unique (along with the technical and artistic expertise that you bring to all of your photos)! Well done!

Sandy, Sandy, Sandy! What a superb top 10 image! I didn't get to vote on a couple of challenges because I was away, but this is superb. Love the composition and the colour. what an amazing place...congratulations.
WOW Sandy!!! I have been so busy with Easter this past week that I didn't even realize this challenge ended until now, Monday evening. Mega congratulations on your top 10 finish. Amazing photo!!!!
Sandy- Isn't it funny how we often get upset when we have people 'intruding' our spaces that we have claimed for our photos and then we see later on that the photo is more dramatic and real with that same person in the photo. Excellent effort and congrats on top 10!
I've photographed Hamilton Pool a couple times and know just how hard it is to get the exposure right for both the shadows and sunlit areas. Excellent job, especially for a single exposure. What time of day was this taken?
Great shot Sandy! As you know i love waterfalls and this one is awesome and i like the person in it also i think people help to scale waterfalls. In this one it helps to show how peacefull a place it is.
WOW! Composition, color, subject, clairity, and editing (okay everthing) has come together PERFECTLY to make this absolutely BEAUTIFUL image. I just love the fact that someone is sitting underneath the wataerfall, it adds so much interest to the picture. This deserves to ribbon! 10
Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning.
