I was supposed to be driving around early in the morning to find a place to photograph the Wellsville Mountains. The weather around 8 was absolutely horrible, so I stayed in my car for most of the first two hours that I was out. Then, as the sun started shining through the clouds, I stopped on the Bear River and began shoot photo after photo. I started with the Wellsvilles reflected in the river, and the turned to face the rest of the valley, and made an attempt at photographing a landscape with a lense other than a wide angle. I think this one turned out all right. Hopefully I can break 6 with it. If not, oh well.
As far as the PP goes, this was completely an experiment. I saved the full PS file with all the layers intact, but I have no idea exactly what I did, but this is exactly how I pictured this shot going in to it. I am pretty impressed with myself for that. :)

How pretty. No. . .GORGEOUS! The contrast and rich processing are exquisite. I love those golden grasses against that midnight blue water. This is truly one of the few really really WOW pictures I've seen so far.
Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.
