I started off with my oldest daughter and a TON of shells and then just kept adding to the image. We added a net...more shells....a blue background....more shells...you get the picture.
WOW I am thrilled to have recieved my first ribbon. I am fairly new here and this place has made me step up my photography like no other website I have found. Thanks for all the fantastic inspiration and comments.

Wow - you are so amazing. You captures moments in time through grace and beauty - you make the ordinary extraordinary and give new meaning to the word photographic ART!! I love this, way to rise to the challenge!!
From one of your 10 voters....I just think everything about this shot is exceptional!!!! I'm so pleased for you that it received a well deserved ribbon!
I'll bet you get a comment about too much NI. I've shot kids though, and some have plastic smooth skin (and don't even appreciate it). so I'm giving your makeup and a smooth kid credit for this dreamy look. You'll have to let me know if I guessed right. 9
What a bold, engaging photograph! First, I must say that I really love the color, the expression of the subject, and the texture used throughout. It's a really unique and powerful photo and my guess is it is going to do extremely well. My critique would be that it feels a bit overprocessed to me - slightly to a detrimental level - and I think this shot could actually be enhanced by holding back just a little. The eyes in particular, while certainly striking and colorful, are just a bit too sharp and in high contrast in relation to the rest of the picture. While they certainly grab your focus, they also feel somewhat less genuine in the context of this photo for me. Her cheeks also look a tad saturated, almost as if all of the pink color was entirely added in post (maybe it was?). Other than that, you made a very bold compositional/angle choice, the color of the entire image is fantastic, and the subject is both enchanting and beautiful. Great job.
What a COOL look this photo has! I love the ethereal blues! And the composition in all that soft cloth. Even the slight over-processing of the face seems to work :)
nice effect...really like the flow and the blues. post work on her face is too strong in my opinion (pimped out eyes and plastic skin) but it's still very strong overall. good job.
