Well, I'm a bit surprised at how poorly this placed. But I can see from the comments people thought they were reacting to something imaginary and didn't like the acting job. Well they were of course summing up their emotions, perhaps exaggerating too much, but it wasn't imaginary. They were looking at a dead deer. It was bloody though, and it makes me sick to look at it, so I'll spare you. But if you look on the right, you will see the boy with its hoof in his hands.
Personally, I liked the "mystery" added by the black and white, and by not having the deer in the frame. (Not to mention the benefit of viewers not losing their lunch.)

given their expressions and the direction the action seems to be coming from, I would move from where you are quick! Your models did a wonderful job of looking surprised. The B&W woorks well to bring them together and the angle they are at gives the shot a feel of action.
if your going to try something like this, its good to have the models all pick the same thing on the ground to look at. The one on the right is looking at the lense not the thing causing 'supprise'.
Dad's look is perfect, the boys are close but just miss the mark. And yes, I would love to know what they are looking at! Under the Scotman's kilt perhaps? LOL! Well done, the black and white works well for this shot but the back light is just a bit harsh. An 8
