This didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. The idea was good, but I'm not convinced of the execution.
Printed off a beach scene for the backdrop - cut into a circle and taped up behind the fan. Used a long exposure so that I could capture the fan half on & half off (to create translucent blades). Lit with handheld moving flashlights. PP included MS Digital Image Pro 10 and PS 7: straighten horizon, levels, curves, contrast, selective color, fade circular color, airbrush, dodge/burn brush, color sat, add border, sharpen, save for Web.

I think the execution is great. And it's highly underrated! I'm noticing several photos in this challenge that seem to be grossly underrated. Hmmmmmmmm.
excellent idea indeed and I don't see anything wrong with the pp. when I first saw it it looked like a fan inside a window and then I reilized it is not, and the title is perfect. very intriguing image!
