Autool What if the title were " I've Fallen and I Can't get Up"? Your title directs this picture too much for me.
This is nice! I like the angle on this shot and how it enhanced the view from a child's perspective. The slight tilt to the right could possibly be improved by either tilting more or making everything level... good shot! = 8 - jmsetzler
That's so pretty! I love the lighting in this shot. I don't care about the overexposure in the window, it works for me. It gives you a real sense of the perspective of a child.
May I say that this is an odd looking toilet. For one, it almost looks metal rather than porcelain. Also, the flusher is on the right hand side, and I'm used to seeing it on the left hand side. It's also strange to see the piping running into the sides of the toilet rather than the bottom. I have to wonder where this photo was taken. Maybe it's just me, but it's definately different. You did a great job in portraying "through a childs eyes" the angle is great for that. The lighting is very good also. Great job and good luck in the challenge.
Your photo sets up a vivid memory for me. The day after my 7th birthday I could tell I had grown tremendously overnight. That day was the first time I could reach the kitched faucet to get my own drink of water. I KNEW beyond doubt that 7 was the magic growth number, the fact that I could reach the water faucet was because I had turned 7. I like your photo very much. It is odd to me that the flushing handle is on the right side of the tank. The angle might have improve the overall quality of the shot, it makes me want to tilt my head to straighten it up. The focus could be a bit sharper and the bright light coming through the window washes the plant out. =7 syamjonimi ;'-D
Fantastic… This is an outstanding idea complimented by excellent photographic work. The sense of scale you have achieved is superb, the composition screams out what it was like to be a small child confronted by an enormous loo - for want of a better word :) Lighting is great… Can't add to that, great shot – good luck (10)
It feels a little tilted to the right for me, and that makes it seem a little less symmetrical. Good work at making everything feel "big". Did you try bw? karmat
it's good that the light from the window hasn't thrown out the exposure on everything else. But this is still a picture of a toilet and as such, just doesn't appeal much to me. That's not to say I'd automatically dislike all photos of toilets, just that there would have to be something extra attractive about it to appeal! kavey
Very cool. You've successfully captured the feel of being small. It would help if the window weren't so bright, but I'm still giving a 9 for perfecting the angle.
Original concept (I had forgotten stuff like that from my childhood! ! :) The angle you took this from is good to emphasize how tall everything appears to a small child. Nice too to exclude the toilet itself from the image (thank you!). It's interesting that for me the top half of the image is the most interesting to look at. Perhaps that is because the ceiling light is very sharp (much more so than the tank) and it is also more quie than the bottom third of the image. Would have liked if you had removed the yellowish thing (?) that is on top of the tank as it clutters the image; perhaps ditto on other clutter that might be around there. Prelim 7 Journey
