I was a bit surprised when this shot went to 7 right away when voting started. And then it actually stayed there all week, well untill this morning. :)
Thank you all for your votes and for the nice comments.
Minimal editing. As I shoot in RAW, I always open my shots in Nikon Capture Editor. Adjust a little there: Curves, Sharpening, Tone Comp., Colour Mode, and Saturation.
Then over to Photoshop. Levels and probably a little adjustment in Curves again (I should have written this down), Contrast and Brightness, I cropped it a little bit, USM, resize and save for web.
I am thrilled that I got another ribbon. Only 0.0217 from the red :)
And later on, it was The Picture of the Day on Kodarama in New York, Times Square. That was on October 27th. 2007.

Awwww. . . no fair! 7 all week and you don't get to keep it! It deserves a 7+ score for sure! Congratulations on a ribbon tho. That has to take the sting out of it dropping below that magical 7 mark :)
lovely example of lovely architectural photography. i love the tones of the blues against the black rings, and the very clean design of soffits of each flight. this was certainly a feature designed to impress, and you've certainly done it justice. only very slight grumble is that triangle of white in the bottom corner, but that's just looking for flaws and isn't that noticeable really. no; it's top stuff!
