Setup:
First I wrapped some books in red wrapping paper, set them up on table in the forground and lit the books with a “snooted” (and some foil too) strobe light. I tilted the top book a little to catch the light.
I then had my husband sitting at small table in the background about 5 or 6 feet away from the books. He is lit with a strobe with some barndoors on it to direct the light. I then threw a sheer piece of fabric on it to tone the light down .
PP: I lightened it with Levels.
This is only my second submission and I'm hoping it is better than my first!

I gave this a 9 when voting and it is on my first page. I'm guessing the only reason it didn't score better is because you didn't use the full 640 width? It is a great concept, well lit and well composed. I'm shocked it didn't score better. There must be a lot of sub 5s given for smaller photos no matter how well they are done?
Thanks for the compliments on my photo. This is only my second entry and I was excited to get 3 9's! (My first entry was terrible) I guess I thought it was big enough -528 wide...I wont make that mistake again! LOL
