Photo of my eye (gradually revealing bits of myself to dpc, after my feet a couple of weeks ago), boiled an egg, removed inside of egg, another ole in other side of egg, pasted cut-out image of eye through the bigger hole, photographed it. The apparent reflection of the bit of white in the 'eye' is just good fortune (well, partially), in that it's the reflection of the light the eye was lit with. That there was a bit if white there in the egg is the good fortune. But it adds depth to the fake image, I feel.

This image is extremely well thought out. The idea took lots of planning, and it was very well executed.
I think I agree with the comment below about the background - it could have been a bit lighter to contrast with the egg. Also, you could have used an eye with a brighter color. Then, you would also have a nice contrast between the colored part of the eye and the pupil inside.
The lighting and composition of this shot are great, as is the focus and depth of field. Great job!
Okay, that's seriously disturbing. In the good way. I would definitely find that a surprising thing to be facing! Nice trick of photography - the softness of the 'eye' works well here.
A very interesting idea and a really great photo (lighting, composition, and DOF are all spot on), but maybe a little too abstract for this challenge? 8
Highest quality and most interesting shot of the challenge. I'm looking forward to finding out how you created the \"eye-ball\". The lighting and perspective work especially well in this shot. The darkened background makes the inside of the egg really pop - yet has a rich property, not just dim and dark. Well done. 9
haha Now I like this one, I only wish that the bowl looked more pleasant. The egg and the eye look GREAT, so sharp and lovely colors. But the bowl is not visually attractive and its throwing me off. A crystal bowl, or perhaps a white bowl would look good. Its the color of it now that I don't like.
I'm betting that is a prind out of an eye that you put insdie a hard boiled egg? Otherwise I can't see how you did this.
And yes, that would be ashock to open my egg and find it looking back at me, LOL. I like the idea but the setting is wanting, the tan plate, brown egg are all a bit dull overall. Maybe a brighter plate? An 8
Eeeuw! Definite shock value and I like the use of the inside rim of the plate to provide compositional balance, and the plate surface, to provide texture.
