 My first idea didn't come out as hoped. Shot this as a second thought on the contest. Mostly just trying to discipline myself into submitting more often rather than just lurking.

A little darker than I'd hoped on the left.

Slight rotate to correct for level, Levels, and USM.

I would of shot a little from an angle to give it a little more depth to the photo.

wish you'd picked just one book to focus on ... I think that would add interest to the shot ... IMHO the composition is a bit too centered

The white balance in this appears to be off. It's got a very peachy color tone to it & I think it kinda takes away from the red in the books. Nice concept for the challenge though.
