All Icelanders are extremely proud of you. Obviously, you are a very gifted "beginner", but it is as important to have caring and supportive family around you and you seem to have just that. Don't worry about envious people, the better one is, the more one encounters such individuals. Just human nature I guess. Keep on studying the fantastic world of photography - I think you can still learn a trick or two from your old man!
Wow - you are only 9! Congratulations! You have captured an awesome moment in time - what a lovely photo. You must be very proud to get a ribbon! Well done.
Beautiful winner don't worry about strange questions they always appear. I'm sure the person didn't actually mean to be annoying but just phrased their question wrongly.
Congrats on beating my best ever score and I hope daddy buys you a nice Nikon D2Xs with the 12-24 AF-s and the 17-55 DX and maybe a 28-70 f2.8 and not forgetting the 70-200VR and a set of strobes a portable power pack and maybe a D200 as back up.. Make sure you get a Nikon then Daddy can't 'borrow' your lenses.. good luck in the future you are blessed.
Is this a composition of two photos? I was looking at your portfolio and this photo and 2 others had the same smoke stack and mountains but all had different foregrounds. Just curious.
No this is NOT an illegal entry!
Accusations of cheating against a nine year old.. how low is that!
You are at least making people think about if this is illegal or not.
More here.. You can be certain that I will not translate this for her! grrr
You should investigate before coming up with something like this!
This one is taken on the other side of the bridge in the same direction, closer to the steam stack:
And this one is taken maybe half an hour later about 200m (1/8 mile) from where the ribbon image was taken, and also in the same direction:
Even this one has yet another foreground but the same steam stack, I took it 3 days earlier not far from where Arna Rós took her great photos:

After all there nice comments for a red ribbon - Now she will not stop until she gets a blue one too.
Look forward to see her future entries in the challenges.
wow... a good translating job waiting for me when I get home tonight from school/work... no she doesn\'t understand english good enough to read or write herself but I have been translating for her and the work continues... A great pleasant job it is.. She tells me what to write and I translate it for her to english (as good as I can).

CONGRATULATIONS on your first of MANY ribbons I\'m sure. Look out Iceland. . .the pressure is on to be even better than EVER!
In wonder: Is Dad happy to the core???? Orrrr....ummm. . .a bit jealous? :)
Of course I\'m happy, she is amazing! And who wouldn\'t be jealous of her with a photo like this! We took some 2-3 hours one night in the end of February to take some photos together because neither of us had taken many photographs in February and both of us want to take part in all of the free study challenges this year. I have to admit that my photos weren\'t as good as hers that we took that night, we picked some 20 photos to choose from and then she picked out this one of this bridge.. yes she\'s talented for sure and we parents are very proud! Thanks!

Congratulations, we are really proud of you and your wonderful results in this challenge.
fantastic image. I didn't get to vote on this one during the challenge, and if I had, would have given a 10. I especially like the pastel tones, and the way the bridge leads you across the frame. Congrats.
Congratulations! You´ve also got the highest score for your camera! Til hamingju með þessa frábæru mynd Arna Rós, þú slóst öllum við nema auðvitað Lárusi! Myndin er vel uppsett og sjónarhornið einstaklega vel séð.
wow. this is a beautiful image. the color of the water and the sky, the mist and white smoke in the wind and the unusual bridge all give it a feeling surreality and fantasy. bravo.
i think that is a great photograph. there are a great composition and great colours. 10. I imagine the impact that the shot could had with an old man with the coat, the hat and an umbrella that walk on the bridge. perhaps can be useful in a next contest go to the bridge and wait....:)
Such an interesting composistion, the colours are so pale and peaceful and I absolutely love the steam trail from (I assume) a hidden chimney.....brill!!
cool find! very fantastic (in a fantasy sense) The only issue I have with this is that I think it could use a little neatimage. very nice pastel colors though.
