Hope this qualifies as 'low key' ... my first ever attempt at this technique.
Shot using only the car's interior lights. CirPol used to minimize reflections and cut harsh light a bit. Very minor editing in PS CS3 after RAW conversion.

As the others have said, I didn't find the subject interesting enough, and scored it a bit low for that (4), as well as the distraction I felt in seeing the stereo controls right under the wheel (I might have cropped it a bit tighter; my monitor resolution means I need to move the page to see all of portrait images, and those controls jumped at me when I saw the image). Nicely lit, though, and definitely low-key to my untrained eyes.
Looks low key to me. White balance is goofed up (never saw a bmw logo with pink in it) and the composition is very poor. Think rule of thirds. Shot of a steering wheel is unlikely to win you any ribbons on dpc unless there is a steering wheel challenge some day. Good luck.
Maybe you should get your monitor calibrated. Looks like the reflections from the red interior may have a hand in this.
Oh yeah! I gave this a 7 and the colours look fine to me. No colour cast.
