I like the angle this is taken at and the lighting is great. very nice "non-candid" background. I like that. would love to have seen a drawing of a mouse between 2 pieces of bread though. LOL. The focus and frame placement is great. I don't know anything about cats, or their anatomy, but his "arm pit" is really dark in the photo, making him look like he's been shot. I know (or assume) he hasn't, but where the shadow is, like that, makes it look a bit odd. Otherwise, great photo and good luck in the challenge.
From my perspective: Meets challenge:Yes Technical:Good, except the cat's eyes are too dark Appeal/Artistic:good Composition:good Originality:ok Comments:Good luck in the challenge.
Great title! Looks like the cat already did some drawing, you missed it! (joke) Very nice pic of the cat, challenge met. You're probably going to hate this, but my suggestion: work the cat for a different expression. All of my cats are very expressive, esp. with proper motivation. They hate my camera! I might not be able to talk to animals, but I can "read" them. This one is mildly annoyed. Go for fully annoyed, or confused (cats are soo easy to confuse...) or whatever. Nice work! 8 (formally 7) Swash
very cute kitty, the drawing on the paper is also a good idea. i just wish there was more interaction between the cat and the pen and you hadn't cropped off the kitty's ear at the top. -- gr8photos (4)
The sketch of the hand is confusing with the title. Is the drawing, or the cat, supposed to be asking the question? Good composition and detail, and cute cat.
Your cat has nice color but is not interacting with the pencil. Even with the title the picture seems meaningless because the cat is not even acknologing it's existence, typical cat behavior. Good focus and like how it is cropped.
Although I am not a huge fan of pet photos, I think the interesting composition, uncluttered background and strong colours (with the limited palette) make this one stand out a little more. Kavey
