My steps:
crop
clone out baby's feet sticking out from under her dress
levels adjustment layer
hue/sat adjustment on baby
used eliptical marquee to select out baby, selected inverse, new layer via copy
hue/sat to desat boys
erased out baby parts that got captured
selective sharpening on eyes and hair of boys
flatten
followed Tut on model makeover on the baby's eyes juuuust a hair to clean up the whites
Sharpen
USM
Dodged in the catchlights in baby's eyes
resize for challenge
Neat Image
save for web :)
My poor boys were ready to kill me by this point :) This was day two of trying to get this to look right. Day 1 the main model got crabby ;)

Well, I now realize that I really really needed to sharpen it one more time LOLOL but, anyway, here is the sharper version:

I ADORE this. The contrast between the center child and her brothers is fantastic. The boy's faces say everything beautifully, yah shes cute but guess what...we are damn awesome too. Yeah props!
That is gunna be one spoiled little girl! I like this very much. I hope it does well, DPC is not often kind to child photographs. It's so strange... I don't know where to look which is usually a bad thing but works so well for this photo. You should be very proud.
