This is an outtake from the Trees challenge; a different view of the same tree as the image I submitted in that challenge.
The punny title refers to the fact that there are several post-processing firsts for me here ... first use of photoshop (elements III, bundled with my Wacom tablet); first time I desaturated an image; first border. I'm not sure how well this will do, but I do look forward to the comments, good or bad.
Levels
Desaturated with lightness adjustments in individual color channels (bumped blue, cyan and green, reduced yellow and red) (no channel mixer available in PSE3).
USM
Crop
Sharpen (tried the step down method for the first time here; took about 10 steps to get it down to size)
