 These red phone boxes are a fixture in England. There is even one under a tree next to a tiny apartment building on a dirt road near me.

I wasn't going to process this, but it was taken on my 16 Feb. trip into Norwich City Centre, and the light when I took it was horrible. So I did a lot: toning, selective desat, sharpening, selective curves and levels, all sorts of things!

I really like the tall composition. The telephone box, light poll and tower all standing tall next to each other. I think keeping the telephone in red adds a bit of spark to the photo.

Wow! It's hard to believe you had to take this in horrible lighting. You sure did a great job compensating for it. This is sucha great photo. It looks so nostalgic and antique. I love those sepia tones with the bright red. Great job.

Yes, they are an icon. I have a couple of shots of them as well from my trip to London in 1999.

I've used that phone on several occasions in the past.
