These are bamboo poles. These guys are constructing a travelling sculpture on the lawn in front of the library in the city. It's for the Perth International Arts Festival It stands 10m high and 240m long and is constructed of 10m long poles of chinese bamboo. Poles are taken from the back and added to the front and the whole construction moves slowly through the city. There is a video Here if you are interested.
I will try to get back and get some shots as moves through different locations in the city.
