Let me go against the grain and say that, while I very much like this shot too. You're original entry was much stronger and the way to go. The guy in this picture is (or appears to be) responding to you and to being photographed, the woman in your entry is responding to life which is what street photography is all about. (I gave you a 9 on your entry, btw.)

I also like this the best of your outtakes, and it captivates me far more than your entry. This is an outstanding photo IMO; really captures the essence of picking one person out of a crowd.
