Way to go, Bill! Well done. The DOF is perfect and makes the bird POP. My only suggestion would be to crop off the RH eighth of the image from the point just outside the forking of the branches to eliminate that solitary busy spot on the right, surrounded by nothing much, that vies for the eye.
Excellent! The reddish/brown bird looks fantastic against the blues and greys of the sky and branches, and the little sprinkles of yellow and green add "spice" to it all.
