This is a shot of the Norwich Cathedral. Built just after Bill the Conquerer took the joint over (okay, to be accurate, built just after William the Conquerer invaded England, killed the king, his army, and pretty much all the elite, and replaced them with his own friends). Construction began in 1067, it started as a motte and bailey castle, and between 1120 and 1130 the keep was built. The outer walls of the keep are "original" while much of the interior has been repaired and replaced over time.
What a grande old building! Since America is not even 250 years old, it is such a treat for us to see and experience this kind of old architecture! I can feel the history just looking at the photo!
