I don't have a strobe but I wanted to give the feeling of motion to my picture. I took several dice and set them up at different heights and rotations and taped 4 dice to my hand. Lighting is a 150 watt bulb. Exposure was for 1.5 seconds at an aperature of 5.5.

Clever idea with the dice, but I personally don't think you pulled it off. Too much change with the dice in the hand from the staged dice. Needed a faster shutter maybe to isolate them more. Maybe the lighting is the problem...don't know. Hand doesn't seem to be in the correct position either. 7 for creativity.
The hand and furthest die are a little OOF but I'm not sure if that is because of DOF or motion. My eyes seem to go to the hand more than the chips so I think I would have liked to have seen it more in focus. The lighting is good, a little bright on three of them, but not overly so. I'm not sure if you have the 12 die there in those positions hoping to come across like there are only two being rolled, or you only used 2 and a long exposure, although they seem a little solid with no obvious motion if you did the latter. If your attempt was the former then as I said above they seem a little too solid. Nevertheless, a good shot.
Cool action! Are the dice really moving or did you pose them? Nice with the black back coming into the green foreground. The hand and the dice in it could be a good bit sharper, still very nice.
Great idea, the quality of the picture could be better though. The edges are funny, with the orange glow. It looks as though it was taken at a high ISO because its a little grainy. You did capture the rolling dice very nicely though
Excellent concept and I love the contrast. I used a similar theme in my still life entry but clearly didn't pull it off as well as you did. The only criticism is that the six on your fingertips is slightly blurred (but hardly worth a deduction). By the way, had those been actual rolls on the craps table (in that order), you'd be sitting on a good bit more money.
