Mural next to the Halo Burger in downtown Flint, MI. Halo Burger is unique to the Flint area. A man by the name of Bill Thomas started working at the Kewpee Hotel in Flint in 1938. This is said to be the place where the flat bottom bun and deluxe (lettuce, tomato & mayo) hambuger originated. In the 50's Mr. Thomas bought the old Vernors Ginger Ale building in Flint. Halo Burger has been there since. There are now 11 Halo Burgers in the Flint area.
This shot is the wall facing the Halo Burger and you can see the Vernors Logo on the mural.
I think that murals are a great way to spruce up a town. The SUV sort of messed up your capture, but I can still see that the mural is very imaginative and well done. I wonder if the door to the place is thru the drawbridge of the castle in the mural?
That's a great story, and another great urban photo. Put some interesting people in there, and you have an excellent Street Photography Scene :) The art work is amazing!
