Composition is great. The simplicity is nice and just the wood color adds interest and realism. It might have worked in b & w, but it wouldn't have been as effective.

LOL. that would make for some really cool stationary. Great photo. Lighting, angle, focus, everything is very nice. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

Interesting idea, nice composition using the angles of the pencil and the lines within the sketch. A little two monotone for, but that's purely personal preference.
