This was hard, getting the lighting right. The light kept wanting to make these ugly reflections on the glossy surface of the violin, so I had to do it in a darker room with a long shutter speed.
I cannot imagine this will do very good, but oh well! :)

Nice photo, good lighting, but isn't very interesting to me. There is not an active verb happening in this photo. Good photos should have a verb related to them. The lighting, black background all work well, but it may be more interesting if something was happening in the photo.
The positioning of the violin and the choice of lighting to show of the writing inside the F hole is a nice touch. It does not tell me a story as others in the challenge have, but still it's a well crafted image. 6
