I have this ridiculous flute in my apartment that is completely useless to me. I played it in middle school band and I hated it. Ah, the 80s..... Anyway, as I was attempting to think of a composition for this challenge, I knew I wanted to get some use out of it but didn't know what I wanted to do. Finally today, I just tied it to a chair today and snapped away. If you look closely, you can see the reflection of my hand holding a white pieces of construction paper and also a television in the background.

Great idea, now if you could have gotten the background to be a true white and controlled the color temp (white balance) better, this would have some potential. JMO of course. The subject is well focused. Good luck in the challenge.
It is a wonderful sentiment in your title. Love the idea of the closeup on the flute and the metaphor of the flower. The lighting needs some help - the flower probably could use a little more emphasis and the shadow takes up a great deal of the image and does not add a lot
