I love doing food images and I love the work of Donna Hay. I thought I would combine these ingredients for a fresh summer salad and present them in a real Donna Hay way.
I have done similar images, but I am really happy with these.
EDIT: USM, Noise Ninja, resize, blur and sharpen, some curves adjustments, noise ninja again, resize for web and border. That\'s it really.

POST: I guess 6.2733 is not so bad in a really tough competition...there were some great entries.
In the end the salad had to go in the bin as I was fasting that day. Our church is on 40Days of prayer and fasting and so it was NO FOOD for me...

First off let me say that if you ever needed to change career fields you woul dhave one in food photography. You have the eye for sure. Right out of a food magazine for sure. Great DOF, lovely composition and the combination of arugula, figs and balsamic sounds awesome! One of my faves of the challenge. 9
