lemon lacks of focus.
IMO deep black background for both vertical and horizontal planes does notwork because it makes things look as they were floating.
cool idea. i think a different color flower, or a different fruit would have worked better though. as it is, there is a lot of yellow tones and that gives the shot a uniform feeling. different colors could help each stand out more
With the flower being the sharper of the 2 I find my attention goes to there rather than the lemon. Might of been stronger if you had cut the lemon and used a bit less lighting..
