This weekend it's time to deliver Girl Scout cookies. For those of you not familiar with this annual event, girls ages 6-18 go out door to door selling several varieties of cookies to raise money. Troops get $0.60 per box sold to use for activities like rockclimbing, camping, and horseback riding.
This year, our troop raised $700 or so.
Here's my plea: please buy your cookies from kids in your neighborhood. It's disappointing to walk around with our daughters and be told people have bought cookies from the daughters of random people at work. Support your neighborhood girls! :)
I'm diabetic, won't be having any this year. :(
But they do have sugar free brownies this year! But you gotta be careful with those or you will be on the toilet in pain. :)
Hee hee, box up some of those Samoas and send them down to Charleston, please. On the other hand, don't. Last time I got some my husband wolfed down the entire box - okay, actually three boxes - in one day.
Good clarity here, but it is making me hungry for cookies and I don't have any. See this would make a good advertisment because it is doing the trick. If they come to my door I will be buying. I wish they would show up now!!
Suprisingly enough, there were young ladies outside of the PX today selling cookies here in Germany! What a nice treat that was! (I have my thin mints for the year now.)
Yummmmm. Nice lesson you're teaching here. Unfortunately we never have anyone venture onto our 4 lane highway to sell to us. But we'd buy, if they did.
