Now I really think your border - I hate commenting on borders because usually they're so much a matter of taste - I think it has a major impact on the viewing of this image. It makes it hard to concentrate on any detail of light and shade within the image, and this surely depends on that kind of detail for its effect. Those textures are already confused with the wall behind - not necessarily a bad thing, in fact even a positive, as far as being a different idea from so many images, but the big black block massively affects the eye in trying to see that detail. |
