This was shot in the school gym, so the lighting was a bit of a challenge. As was the fact that things like music stands, the conductor etc. were constantly in the way. I really wanted a shot of the kids' concert, though, as this epitomizes school music to me.
I converted to b&w to try and get rid of the wierd color tones caused by the gym lighting. I also had to NI it a bunch, since I shot at iso 800.

The only thing I would have changed on this, and now that I noticed it, can't help but to be distracted by it,
is the girl playing the flute - (just kidding)
The little white triangle at the lower left is kind of distracting, and had this been mine, would have cloned it out.
I still really like this.
Yeah, it bugged me too, but it was basic, so what could I do. I cropped as much out without losing any of the flute.
Thanks for the comments!

Wow, look at that hair! I appreciate that her head is held straight and her flute is not bent down toward the ground. Her poise is good too. I love that you went out to the concert to catch this :) B&W is always a winner IMB and your border looks like a lovely frame here. I see a good score for you out of this one and I wish you luck :)
