A lot going on in this photo and it took me a lot of shots to get satisfied.
OK so it is not exactly stop motion, there was some fishing line cloned out that was holding the pepper in position. I had 3 common around the house lamps illuminating the pepper and the hand...and the pepper was doused with water to give it the wet look. Behind the pepper was a bright orange colored peice of construction paper. And that is a friend's hand not mine, luckily he was there to help!
I decided to go with selective desaturation because it makes the pepper POP off the screen, atleast to me. The picture is kinda meant to be surreal looking, and for the viewer to not exactly be sure as to weather the pepper is being caught or tossed.
Editing:
Selective Desat on everything but the pepper, selective color changes in the Reds and yellows, Selective sharpening on the pepper and hand, slight neat image and gaussian blur on background only, and Dodge/burn to get the highlights and shadows just right. Image was also cropped and rotated slightly.
