I didn't do a lot to this PP for the sake of the lighting. One umbrella right where I am looking :) per the advice of Louis. I did have to smoosh the BG around a little because of a wrinkle or two... or three ;) You would think I would learn how to iron huh? hehe
Editing steps:
Adjusted hue/sat to take out some of the red in my skin (I had been under those lights for some time)
Adjusted levels sliiiightly not much.
One layer neat image on LOWEST setting so I didn't look like a plastic doll.
Tiny burn around the eyes, again, not much.
Healing brush to remove a spot on my forehead and forearm.
Please, let me know how you like it or don't like it :)
This is fantastic!!! The lighting and use of soft focus work exceptionally well here. The expression you captured and the use of space above your head are both very well conceived and executed. One of your best efforts... Beautiful...
What a beautiful photo! Perhaps just a touch too soft looking for me. I'd like to see your eyes a bit sharper. This looks more like a painting than a photograph, which isn't a bad thing!! :) (There seems to be something going on on just above your head.) Beautiful coloring and pose!
Wow... Gorgeous!! Light is very soft and beautiful, and understated, and the shadows are creamy and natural, giving your face perfect definition. Catchlights are really wonderful (I'll bet you saw the green ring for a minute or two after taking this picture). Also what makes this for me is your classic pose, which in my opinion is sensual and enigmatic. The tonal range is gorgeous. I think there's too much at the top of the frame - I might have framed it so that you filled the frame. This might have given you an opportunity to move the camera further away, and consequently you further away from the backdrop, so that it would have fallen out of the depth of field and therefore been out of focus. You wouldn't have had to blur this in post, which for me detracts slightly, especially the feathering effect around your hair. Though it could be argued that the soft focus lends itself perfectly to this lovely lovely portrait, I would have preferred crisper focus at your beautiful eyes. But other than this, this is really GREAT! What masterly use of light... well done!
OH MY this is just lovely. I love the smoothness of your skin and how your hair cascades down over your shoulders. The light is spot on and captures your eyes to perfection. It conjurs up all sorts of emotions. WONDERFUL!!!

I like it this much: <----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
...maybe a little more. :) I really think it's fantastic actually. Has on old Renaissance portrait quality to it.
