the lack of focus on the subject and the relative focus on the leaves make me feel like I'm spying on this person, which is a bit of what we do when reading a biography. And I do see faces in the fire... it paints a contemplative moment. I'd crop on the right to tighten the composition - bring our attention to the center of the fire. I wonder how it would look sharp?
How strange - talk about the powers of suggestion - I look intot he fire and can see the lower area of a face with nostrils and mouth and part of the jaw line. Is that why you entered it or is it just coincidence and suggestiveness?
:o)
Nice image, with good use of foliage to frame.
I'm not sure how hard it is to shoot fire, as I have never tried myself, but this is the second fire shot that I have seen that is slightly out of focus. So my ignorance in the difficulty of shooting a focused shot of fire not withstanding, I like the silhouette effect & the matching orange border, it brings out the colours in the fire to the fore front. I think that if the objects in silhouette were sharper & more focused that would have been an even better shot.
Aha. I see the face. Very nicely captured. The blurring of the person in the foreground works well in this image although I fear others may not like it.
