So, I kinda expect this to get a little harsh critisism because it's lack of creativity.. I know, I know.. It's my lamp shade..But, it's my FAVORITE lamp shade.lol. I've never tried to do this type of photography and was actually trying to understand what is expected technically, so the conceptial part got put on the back burner. With that said, please help me understand the challenge & I appreciate all honest opinions, even ones that sting. I am learning photography and any suggestions on how to make this shot better is truly appreciated.

not shallow enough.. should have gone on an angle, more repetition along the line instead of from the front. focus on the second gem, not the first, lower gem. that's how i would have done it
