So I reedited the picture to bring out her face and darken the background using the technique in this tutorial:

yep, that's a great tutorial by Cindi. You've really done well with bringing out the important things in this photograph .. and I'm glad to see that's a bit of face paint on her nose, and not a deformity as it looks from the thumbnail. ;-Þ
I like the eye contact here, but I wish there was more brightness on her face and the color was cooled down a bit so it won't have an orangey kind of look to it. The DOF is good, but I wish there was more negative space on the right. Overall a cute girl and a very nice candid :)
