Well ouch, I really liked the harshness thats what I was going for. to bad my creativity is not understood, yes the dust is a little distracting but the computer I used to edit this picture does not have cloning or any clean up tools so for what I have to work with I think I did pretty darn good, sorry so many did not like it. But thats why its a Free study, we try different things.

I actually like the harsh lighting on this alot and would have scored it well. The dust in the image is a bit distracting and can be removed in post processing. I also really like the crop and the way the light creates shadows of the lashes in the eye. Very much underscored in my opinion.
It looks a little over-exposed to me. Some distracting spots in the background that could have been cloned out and on the whiskers too. Other then that, it's a very nice capture and crop.
