You took the shot, I'll bet you got paid for it, so you're "living the life" 10 for that too. :-)
I'd like to know more about the shoot. How long did you have, did you get to set lights before he got there? or is it just a run and gun shoot?
I'm starting to shoot more like this - for pay and into situations I don't know until I get there - and I always feel hurried and rushed and I hate that part - so any input in comments or PM would be great.
Very cool shot, nicely executed. I'd really like to know how you lit (lighted?) it? I like the fact that it is a wide angle, I tend to find the more interesting portraits are done there.
This is a great portrait. I wonder what H. Hefner thought of it himself? Did you get any feedback from him?
Fraid not - Very rare that the subject gets to see the portraits which I think is a shame - Also. as usual the paper ended up running a very bland full length shot I also took of him in his signature robe - Very frustrating! Thanks for the comments.
I would echo the other comments here - I love this portrait. Excellent lighting to properly expose for outside and in. Great composition. It is great and inspiring to see such talent on DPC.
