I was thinking of entering this for my Best of 2006 entry. I figured it'd pull in a little over a 6, so seeing as my actual entry is sitting at a 6.53 it seems I made the right choice (they look nothing alike, btw...)
Taken from the peak of whistler (same as my Dec free study entry, same day, different direction), looking north-eastish.
Post processing was alot of burning to bring out the shadows and texture in the snow, and to dramatically darken the sky. Ran some noise reduction on the sky to cut down on that nasty blue channel noise, then did some sharpening.
