It was a cold and windy day in south Texas when I took this photo. I added a 1.4 extender to the 100-400 mm lenses

I think this is a great capture and nice movement and composition between the herons. The only problems here are not-quite-sharp focus and colors look a little flat.

Looks as if the point of focus is just behind them...on the first leaves? Maybe this is just soft focus?

Nice capture. However, it seems the focus is on the leaves in the background rather than the birds as they seems to be a little fuzzy. The lighting is excellent.
