Actually I had a taxi shot that was perhaps sharper and fitted the challenge perfectly and would probably do better than this, but in the end I think this is more fun! I hope the crop doesn't get criticised too much! I know there are a few saturation artefacts which I'd have got rid of if it weren't for basic editing, and the bike headlight would be better not going into the car, but you can't have everything!

Not quite there yet.... in my opinion, a successful motion panning photo has at least SOME of the subject in clear focus, whilst the background shows the tell-tale streaks.
