Very nice details in the feather and on the beak. I'm really glad that you didn't try to over-sharpen this image. Sharpness, contrast, exposure and white balance all look really good. Beautiful animal... Good luck with the challenge!!!

I have never seen a flamingo close too - I did see some in a zoo when I was a child, but in an enclosure and so at some distance. From a European perspective it seems so bizarre to be able to come across a bird as exoctic as this.

I'd love to see this processed so we can separate the missing part of the bill from the BG ever so slightly. Otherwise superior, not your normal flamingo experience.
