Taken in one of the nicer nights of the year. -10 degrees the lake is actually a river which simply didn't flow it was that cold.
So anyways I and my friend Larus went for a drive specifically to get the Northern lights after a solar storm he shot his sky entry that night, well mine is not nearly as good but let's see how this goes.

Thank you to everyone who voted and commented for making this a personal best in every aspect number of comments, score and favorites.
Also to note it was -10° C not F but cold still.
Also to everyone who mistook me for Larus. I accept the compliment, but to your defence we went out there together to take the pictures. And they were taken at the same time.
Did you say minus 10? I love the cold but that is slow paced. I am thinking about retiring and moving to Iceland soon .I hope these solar storms are not too harmful for you. I love this photo. I love anything that has a Aurora in it. Great job and placing !
I never tire of seeing these displays. I can't say a lot more about this photo, the colours are stunning, the reflections as sharp as the display. Worthy 10
After a while I seem to bore of the Aurora... Then all of a sudden an image like this one hits. Yes, the Aurora is a beauty, but what really works is the like of the beach, the reflections, and the the lines in general. Not sure if this is one of your works, Larus, but this is one of my favorite Auroral Displays. Nicely done and highly rated.
Very nice picture but I think this has been overdone lately. It must be awesome in person and I'd be proud to have taken a shot like this and I am jealous about your location but I've been seeing it far too much in challenges.
I think people who have access to the Northern Lights should automatically be given a -2 handicap :) JUST KIDDING! This is off-the-chart stunning, and I would kill to have a "Best Of" photo that looked this amazing!
