Taken on what turned out to be the best day of the season, Baldface Lodge guide Demian W. drops in to lead his group down another perfectly fresh powder run. As group photographer, I snuck into the pitch from the side so as not to leave any stray tracks in shot. It's a tough job but someone has to do it (grins)... Minimal editing, healing brush used to remove a dust spot on the sensor, essentially straight out of the camera. Bluebird skies, powder and a strong rider, pretty hard to go wrong!

The elements of the photo is great: from the snow-capped evergreens, the snowboarder, the clean snow and diagonal lines. Composition and color are effective too. One flaw is the shadow in front. Other than that, this is one great capture. I hope this will do well.
Terrific capture. My favorite Action shot in the challenge. I like the orange and the blue. Love the shadow and the framing. Great stop action. One of my hightest rated for this challenge.
Wow, so that's what snow looks like, I've just about forgotten here in this worthless winter in the NE USA. Great color contrast between the deep blue sky and the orange parka. Maybe less foreground would help, but the near-centered composition works too.
I like the fact that this is not tightly cropped, allowing you to see how the subject has exclusive rights to the undisturbed area. Great shot. Warren Miller would be proud. Good Luck.
Wow, 10! Everything is perfect, colors lines, shadows, puff of snow, the weather, the snow treas. Only thing is: where were you and how did you get there id you didnt leave a track?
Cool shot. Could probably use just a smidgen off the right and bottom. I would have gone typical thirds with this one with the boarder on the right third and the carve on the left third. the negative space isn't really adding much imho. It looks tack sharp and I bet that the pic would indeed look better with those elements enlarged via the cropping of excess.
