This shot is part of a series of 6 photos, which where taken under different daylight and weather conditions. (Please see my portfolio for the other shots!) This one was taken at 8:00 am. It was raining all night long, and this is the moment, where the morning sun looks the first time through the cloud cover - breathtaking lighting conditions for a few seconds.
The houses are belonging to a camping site in southern Norway. We had a round trip there in 2006 and we stopped here for 2 days.
Visit Norway ;-)!

Colors and hues of the lined-up cabins are very vibrant and highlighted by an amazing contrast of the dark and moody backdrop. The reflection on the water is very nice, too. One of the best entries for 2006.
I like the design of this composition. But with what looks like a sunset behind the houses, what is lighting them? Extremely unique image to me anyway. An 8 for me.
Looks like a poster in an Ikea store. But that's not a criticism. It's a lovely photo. The colours on the cabins are so vivid and bright, and yet the exposure is good enough to leave the background dark and undistracting. The reflections on the water are beautiful too. Well taken - you waited for just the right lighting for this shot.
The light in this looks very unnatural. It looks like bright sunshine on the front of the cabins and marina, but the sun is setting in the background. It makes it look like a cardboard cutout pasted on a moody landscape.
Fabulous lighting, reflections and colours. A beautiful scence and a beautiful place to live!! :o) Only criticism is, to my eye, this needs to be straightened ever so slightly :o)
very, very cool, love how you separated the cabins from the background. My only complaint is that the line of cabins is slightly tilted up at the right side, which I understand is due to your perspective and you probably had your camera level and all, I would just like to see how it would look if the 'line' went straight across. nice work! 9
